He introduced a multidisciplinary clinic  for severe psoriasis, the Manchester Psoriasis Service, and was awarded Hospital  Doctor Dermatology Team of the Year Award in 2002. </p><p>Dr. Griffiths is a past president of  the British Association of Dermatologists and a past chairman of the British  Society for Investigative Dermatology. He has also authored 352  research articles in peer-reviewed journals and 150 articles in  non-peer-reviewed journals, and is a co-editor of the premier international textbook  of dermatology, <em>Rook&rsquo;s Textbook of  Dermatology</em>. His research includes immunological mechanisms of psoriasis,  immunotherapy, including the new biological agents, the &ldquo;brain-skin axis&rdquo; and  mechanisms and repair of skin aging.</p><p>In 2007 he was appointed to head the  new Research School of Translational Medicine in the faculty of Medicine and  Human Sciences. He is the Genomics group leader and a corporate  technology entrepreneur, charged with helping to identify biotechnology  innovations worldwide to address key needs for P&amp;G. Dr. Robinson  provides expertise in the field of immunology to further the understanding of  the process of skin aging. His broad P&amp;G research experience has also  focused on experimental and clinical skin sensitization, irritation and  inflammation, respiratory allergy, asthma and drug discovery, in vitro  alternative methods, and dermatotoxicology risk assessment. His earlier research experience was in  experimental and clinical cancer immunology.</p><p>Dr. Robinson is a member of the Society  of Toxicology. He is a past member of the Society of Investigative Dermatology,  the American Society for Cancer Research, and the American Association of  Immunologists. He has served on numerous scientific committees, including  positions with the Soap and Detergent Association Animal Alternatives Task  Force and the European Cosmetics Trade Association (Colipa) Skin Tolerance Task  Force. Dr. Robinson is an accomplished research scientist and has published  more than 60 articles and book chapters on topics including in vitro methods  for assessment of skin sensitization and irritation, racial and other factors  in skin sensitivity, and susceptibility to skin irritation and a noninvasive  skin biomarker sampling technique for dermatitis, dandruff, rosacea, and other  skin conditions. These have appeared in journals such as the <em>Journal of Investigative Dermatology</em>, <em>Food and Chemical Toxicology</em>, <em>Skin Research and Technology</em>, and <em>Contact Dermatitis,</em> as well as books  such as <em>Sensitive Skin Syndrome</em>, <em>Ethnic Skin and Hair</em>, and <em>Handbook of Cosmetic Science and Technology</em>.</p><p>Dr. Robinson completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the  University of Notre Dame and received his PhD in microbiology from the Roswell Park Memorial Institute Division of the State University of New York at  Buffalo. After receiving his PhD, Dr. Robinson spent six years as a  postdoctoral and NIH fellow at Thomas Jefferson and Hahnemann universities in Philadelphia  and as a staff immunologist at the Department of Immunochemistry Research at  Evanston Hospital in Illinois. Dr. Robinson has been with P&amp;G for more than  22 years.</p>'
